The new batch from ExciteLab features startups developing solutions for diverse industries, including semiconductor manufacturing, robotics, sustainable mobility, real-time data analysis, and industrial automation. These startups tackle specific challenges by enhancing production processes, streamlining workflows, and increasing efficiency.

As part of our acceleration program, these startups now receive support from experienced mentors, industry partners, and investors. This backing not only helps refine their technologies but also provides strategic guidance, funding opportunities, and access to potential customers and collaborators. Here are the 10 ExciteLab startups:

AlixLabs AB

AlixLabs develops technology to make semiconductor manufacturing more efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective. Their unique method, Atomic Layer Etch Pitch Splitting (APS™), enables the production of smaller and more powerful chips without requiring complex and expensive manufacturing steps. This approach reduces energy consumption, lowers costs, and supports the advancement of European semiconductor production.

AuRaSys

AuRaSys designs automation solutions for cargo bikes, expanding their range of applications. The OEM-agnostic AuRa Drive System enables manufacturers to convert conventional cargo bikes into automated models. The first product, a contactless push-assist system, allows cargo bikes to accompany users independently and be controlled hands-free. This technology enhances efficiency in urban cleaning, facility management, and last-mile logistics.

Chipmetrics

Chipmetrics offers metrology solutions for semiconductor manufacturing with a focus on process quality control. The company provides specialised measurement chips and wafers that enable precise monitoring, optimisation and qualification of manufacturing processes - especially in 3D thin-film metrology. By supporting the production of complex 3D semiconductor structures, Chipmetrics helps to increase efficiency, improve quality and increase process reliability.

ConcR

ConcR creates IoT sensor solutions that enable real-time monitoring of cementitious building materials such as concrete. Important parameters such as temperature, moisture and strength development are recorded from early curing to long-term durability. The actionable data is made available via a cloud-based platform so that construction companies, manufacturers and operators can optimise construction processes, increase safety and promote sustainability. please

HandsOn Robotics

HandsOn Robotics automates manual tasks in industrial processes using robotics and AI. The initial focus is on large-scale catering, particularly on automating the loading and unloading of dishwashing systems. The primary target groups are hospitals, university canteens, and corporate cafeterias.

IMEN

IMEN develops a software-enabled miniature microscope that addresses challenges in live-cell imaging. Live-cell imaging allows the observation of living cells in real-time without fixation or staining, enabling the analysis of natural cellular processes without interference. The device enables label-free, non-invasive, and long-term observation of cells, even in incubators. It is used in drug discovery, cancer research, and regenerative medicine, supporting high-resolution imaging and AI-powered analysis. IMEN’s technology also allows for non-destructive cell dry mass measurement and imaging data generation, making research more efficient and precise.

Kolbev

Kolbev develops autonomous, off-grid charging solutions for electric vehicles, using renewable energy and second-life batteries. Their robotic systems provide mobile and scalable charging in areas without fixed infrastructure, addressing gaps in the existing charging network. The technology enables flexible deployment in urban and remote locations, supporting fleet operators, event organizers, and municipalities in expanding e-mobility. By integrating intelligent energy management, Kolbev optimizes charging efficiency and resource distribution while promoting sustainable energy use.

NanoChronia

NanoChronia is a deep-tech company focused on advanced gas sensor technology for detecting fugitive greenhouse gas emissions. The patented semiconductor nanosensor systems enable real-time detection and monitoring of hazardous gases such as hydrogen, ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, and methane at parts-per-million concentrations, ensuring safety and preventing accidents.

Smarobix

Smarobix's software solution simplifies the integration of high-performance hardware acceleration into real-time systems without requiring in-depth programming knowledge. It enhances processing efficiency, particularly in robotic systems with sensors and actuators. By incorporating various computing chips, especially Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), systems become more powerful and efficient. FPGAs are flexible, programmable chips specifically optimized for fast and energy-efficient computations.
