The round was led by JOIN CAPITAL, with support from Forma Prime, EIC - European Innovation Council, elev8.vc, Tiburon, Frontures and Atlantis Ventures, as well as other angel investors. The startup from ExciteLab batch 1 is developing a new generation of gas sensors that are built directly on microchips using solid-state materials, replacing traditional liquid-based components. This makes the sensors smaller, more energy-efficient and suitable for mass production using standard semiconductor processes.

FaradaIC’s solution targets industries like medical technology, food logistics, and consumer electronics, where compact and reliable gas sensing is essential. With this funding , the team plans to bring its first product line, starting with oxygen sensors to market and expand manufacturing capabilities to meet growing demand.

"Our clients tell us that existing gas sensor technology cannot meet their requirements; especially oxygen gas sensors. Whether they are building medical devices or food freshness monitors, the problems are the same; the sensors are too large, expensive, and power hungry,” said Dr. Ryan Guterman, CEO. “This is a once-in-a-generation leap forward that finally delivers a miniaturized and scalable solution for virtually any application.”

“With Faraday-Ox, we can deliver millions of sensors to our clients, which is something none of our competitors are able to do. MEMS killed legacy gyroscope and accelerometer technology, and MECS will do the same, starting with gas sensing,” added Dr. Guterman.
